Location: Chandler, AZ

 

Reporting to the Vice President of People Operations, the Training and Development Specialists help plan, conduct, and administer programs that train employees and improve their skills and knowledge. The position develops and conducts administrative and clinical training programs for Team Members. This position will work closely with People Operations and Clinical Operations team in creating, administer, and developing training programs for Team Members and the organization. Some training is in the form of a video, Web-based program, or self-guided instructional manual. Training also may be collaborative, which allows Team Members to connect informally with clinical experts, leaders and mentors often using technology.

Responsibilities

 

Essential Functions:

  • Training and development specialists organize or offer training sessions using lectures, group discussions, team exercises, structured learning experience, hands-on examples, and other training formats.
  • Assess training needs through surveys, interviews with Team Members, or consultations with managers or instructors.
  • Design and create training manuals, online learning modules, and course materials.
  • Develop custom training programs that take place in a classroom, virtual utilizing other technology.
  • Review training materials from a variety of vendors and choose appropriate materials.
  • Formulate training outline and determine instructional methods such as individual training, group instruction, lectures, demonstrations, meetings and workshops.
  • Selects or develops teaching aids such as training handbooks, demonstration models, multimedia visual aids, computer tutorials and reference works.
  • Monitor and evaluate training programs to ensure they are current and effective.
  • Tests trainees to measure progress and to evaluate effectiveness of training.
  • Reports on progress of Team Members under guidance during training periods.
  • Perform the role of a Job Coach and assist Team Members with problems concerning "how to" perform specific tasks related to their positions.
  • Develops strong relationships with internal customers to develop course materials and receive feedback. Makes suggestions on improving work procedures.
  • Perform administrative tasks such as monitoring costs, scheduling classes, setting up systems and equipment, and coordinating enrollment
  • Working knowledge of navigation within a Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Advocate MY DR NOW’s brand, voice and impact.

Qualifications

 

  • Education or experience in Medical Billing & Coding is a bonus!!
  • Education or experience in Medical Assisting is a bonus!!
  • Experience in Primary Care setting is preferred, but not required
  • Public speaking and presentation skills are highly desired.
  • Training experience or equivalent combination of education and experience with an innovative or startup company
  • Certified Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP) credential preferred but not required.
