Compensation: Non-Exempt, ($15/hour +)

Benefits: BCBS Health, 401K, PTO, Dental, Vision, Pet Insurance, & Voluntary Life

Schedule: Full-Time, Monday to Friday, 8AM – 4PM (Flexible)

Location: Chandler AZ (Corporate Center)

 

Starting in 2007, MY DR NOW is a growing provider of healthcare services with 7 busy clinics in the East Valley and West Valley.  And since 2015 our newest division, Provider House Calls, is experiencing a large growth explosion throughout our city and has recently expanded into Tucson and Northern Arizona.  This growth means we need to recruit more operational staff to support these provider services.  Our physicians (MD & DO), nurse practitioners (NP) and physician assistants (PA) that provide the services are growing exponentially and we need you to support our staff to keep providing healthcare services to our patients in our clinics and their homes.

  

Our company is expanding and is seeking (2) Medical Billing A/R Specialists to aide us in our upcoming growth plans.  You thrive in a high-pressure environment, embraces change, seeks challenges, drives growth, very professional to their internal clients, courteous and can hit the ground running.

Responsibilities

  • Reviewing claim(s) to ensure proper payment was made by the insurance company
  • Follow up and research of all insurance claim denials and/or zero pays
  • Evaluating explanation of benefits in order to properly apply payments and adjustments to patient’s account
  • Correcting and rebilling claims
  • Researching auths
  • Troubleshooting accounts for problems
  • Post adjustments and/or discounts as approved by clients and management
  • Provide expertise to enhance the billing, coding, and collections of the PCP clinics
  • Post payments and denials

Qualifications

  • 2 years or more in a billing office working A/R
  • Experience with all payers, commercial, government and workman's comp
  • Knowledge of CPT/ ICD-10 codes
  • Demonstrate extensive knowledge of primary care billing practices
  • Experience with PCP, Mobile, or Urgent Care billing
  • Ability to complete 4+ claims/hour
  • Proven ability to provide exceptional customer service
  • Demonstrated ability to address difficult situations and resolve conflicts
  • Ability to perform billing functions via Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system
  • Working knowledge of medical terminology, medical insurance industry practices and CPT/ICD-9/ICD-10/HCPCS codes used in an ambulatory primary care setting
  • Ability to perform data entry accurately, efficiently and quickly
  • Ability to work effectively in a team
  • Type at least 35 wpm
  • Bilingual in the Spanish and English language, is a plus
  • Experience processing claims on behalf of the provider
  • Experience with Medicare and Medicaid is a plus
