Organization: Tempe, AZ

Compensation: $15-18/hr DOE

Schedule: Full- Time; Typically Monday- Friday 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM

Location: Tempe, AZ

We are looking for a Medical A/R Specialist to join our team of revolutionaries!

Responsibilities

  • Reviewing claim(s) to ensure proper payment was made by the insurance company
  • Follow up and research of all insurance claim denials and/or zero pays
  • Evaluating explanation of benefits in order to properly apply payments and adjustments to patient’s account
  • Correcting and rebilling claims
  • Researching auths
  • Troubleshooting accounts for problems
  • Post adjustments and/or discounts as approved by clients and management
  • Provide expertise to enhance the billing, coding, and collections of the PCP clinics
  • Post payments and denials

Qualifications

  • At least 2 years in a billing office working A/R
  • Experience with all payers, commercial, government and workman's comp
  • Knowledge of CPT/ ICD10 codes
  • Advanced knowledge of insurance processes and terminology (will be asked specifically)
  • Demonstrate extensive knowledge of primary care billing practices
  • Experience with PCP, Mobile, or Urgent Care billing
  • Ability to complete 4+ claims/hour
  • Proven ability to provide exceptional customer service
  • Demonstrated ability to address difficult situations and resolve conflict with ease, poise, and tact
  • Ability to perform billing functions via Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system
  • Working knowledge of medical terminology, medical insurance industry practices and CPT/ICD-9/ICD-10/HCPCS codes used in an ambulatory primary care setting
  • Ability to perform data entry accurately, efficiently and quickly
  • Ability to work effectively in a team
  • Ability to perform in a fast paced environment
  • Type at least 35 wpm
  • Bilingual in the Spanish and English language, ideal
  • Experience processing claims on behalf of the provider, plus
  • Experience with Medicare and Medicaid, very much a plus
